About me...
Sherlock Holmes outfit toddler photo
(Early fan of Shirlock Holmes.)

My full name has been butchered with such thrilling results throughout my life that at this point I'll respond to anything. My faves are Clarisanity Bells, Chrysanthany Balls, Chrysantibodies and Christ... but you can just call me Chrys.

In a space crowded with "typical" narrators, I offer a unique, authentic style and sound. My natural voice sits in a lower register, and has been described as warm, engaging, and versatile. I’m a writer as well as an actor, which means I approach the written word with a keen eye for the author’s intention..

I'm a Greek-American ("Opa!") originally from Baltimore ("Hey, hon!") now living in sunny L.A. ("Like, OMG..."). I’m a wife, a mom of three, and an awkward member of the LGBTQ+ community. I moved to L.A. right out of college and dove headfirst into the Holy Trinity of the entertainment world: acting, screenwriting, and bartending. You may remember me as Woman #3 in an episode of the sit-com High Society. Anyway, huge spin-off potential, trust me on that. But when my first script won an award a screenwriting career was launched, instead. I wrote projects for the various movie studios and TV networks, and my film Asylum (Paramount) even made it to the big screen. I was known for crafting dark, moody stories—Gothic horror, thrillers, tragic tales—and got really good at juggling creativity with professional deadlines.

Then came kids—three under the age of two. I took a step back to focus on family life during which time the itch to perform grew stronger, so on the day my youngest started full-time school I auditioned for The Groundlings. That’s where everything clicked. I discovered my comedic voice and took a deep dive into commitment to character.

Whether it's a gritty thriller, a dark comedy, a sweeping epic, or something deeply spiritual—I’m here for all of it.

A "Fun Fact?" You decide...

Few things thrill me more than a "find." I scour curiosity shops and antique stores, poke about in fossil beds and mudlark for fragments of everyday life from the past. Anything that tells a story.. And, of course, I hit the bookshops.

Hidden behind a secret door is my home's library and museum where these elements come together. Displayed alongside the over 7,000 titles are all my other "finds." John Fowles keeps company with ammonites plucked from Lyme Regis shale. Ovid hangs out with a shard of Roman pottery from the Thames foreshore. In front of the psychiatry textbooks my father authored sits his army cap, found ravaged by moths and restored to life.

This is my favorite place and where you'll find me preparing for a project, digging deep to discover all that lies within.
