(Early fan of Shirlock Holmes.)
I'm a Greek-American ("Opa!") born and bred in Baltimore ("Hey, hon!") now living in L.A. ("Like, OMG..."). I'm also a wife, a mother of three and an awkward member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Mine is the usual story. I moved to L.A. fresh out of college and immersed myself in the Holy Trinity of the entertainment industry: Acting, Screenwriting and Bartending. I got a second job at the mall, but was soon outed about my deficit with numbers and banned from using the cash register. Occasionally, small acting roles would crop up. Nights were devoted to writing. When my first script won an award it launched a writing career. Acting fell to the side. I went on to write for the various studios and networks, and, eventually, my film Asylum made it to the big screen. Shortly after that, a writers' strike sifted me right out of the business. So...it was time to start a family!
We quickly over-achieved and ended up with three kids under the age of two. I shifted fully into my new role, but managed to carve out time within the chaos to contribute a few short stories to anthologies and a chapter in a reference book. I taught screenwriting. I contributed to a whiskey review site. Over time, the itch to perform again became a full-blown rash (apologies for the metaphor). So on the day my youngest started full-time school, I auditioned for The Groundlings School and Theater and started a new chapter in my career. It was on that stage that I discovered my voice(s) and a knack for character.
As an actor and a writer, few things thrill me more than a "find." I scour curiosity shops and antique stores. I poke about in fossil beds. I mudlark for fragments of everyday life from the past that tell a personal story. And, of course, I hit the bookshops.
So, I have created a space where these discoveries all come together. Hidden behind a secret door is my home's library and museum. Displayed alongside the over 7,000 titles are all my other "finds." John Fowles keeps company with ammonites plucked from Lyme Regis shale. Ovid hangs out with a shard of Roman pottery from the Thames foreshore. In front of the psychiatry textbooks my father authored sits his army cap, found ravaged by moths and restored to life.
This is my favorite place and where you'll find me preparing for a project, digging deep to discover all that lies within.
